Transient-overvoltage smaller

“The songs bloom slowly, but spectacularly, like prize carnations… and are so packed full of dreamy hooks it hurts to hear.”

Transients are unexpected, short-lived sounds; sudden pulses of energy or current; non-periodic signals of short duration; transitory guests.

Recorded in London and departing from a shared love of old-school indie – The Smiths, The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen – and of classic shoegaze – My Bloody Valentine, Ride – the EP weaves a contemporary story about travel, tribulation and love, about old losses and new beginnings.

Michal Sapir: Vocals, guitar, keyboard
Rob Sykes: Bass
James Turner: Drums

  1. I was googling “my bloody valentine tempo changes cupid come” because I’ve always been vexed by the drumming on that album – is it off time on purpose, or by accident. Or is it even off time at all?

Anyway, your post on GBV popped up in the context of European/American sounds, which was a great read.

But I really like this stuff. Followed you on bandcamp. You can have a look at my ever evolving stuff there as well. https://elirector.bandcamp.com/

    cheers.

    1. Hey Eli, thanks for reading and listening. And thanks for pointing me to your bandcamp page. Always good to listen to what like-minded people are doing.
